Course II

Cambridge DELTA Certificate in ELT Management

A course specifically addressed to DELTA candidates for Module 3 who wish to follow this Specialism and work on an ELTM assignment. At the end of this course, participants will be supported in writing their assignment; successful candidates will be awarded a DELTA Module 3 Certificate.

If you are eligible to attend a  Cambridge DELTA Course you may wish to take this option, as completion of this and submission of a Case Study will also give you a Cambridge Module 3 Certificate which is part of the Cambridge DELTA Diploma.

Syllabus Specifications

Click on the images of the two different documents below to read the syllabus specifications and scope of the Case Study Assignment.

Course Organisation

The courses will be delivered via Moodle (asynchronously which means that you will be able to log in and complete your coursework whenever you can. There is no set timetable for this although it is expected that you will need to put in a total of of at least 50-60 hours of individual work to complete tasks set by your course leader and to write up your Module 3 extended assignment.

Once a week, on Sunday, a short webinar will be held in an online classroom to keep in touch with your course leader and and other fellow DELTA candidates following the course.

Assignments for Module 3 must be submitted to the centre in their final draft form before the end of May or November each year in electronic form.

The centre uploads assignments to the Cambridge ESOL website.

Requirements

No special equipment is necessary to follow the course on Moodle but to participate in the weekly webinars you will need a fast internet connection and a headset - a webcam is not obligatory but enhances contact amongst participants and course tutor.

Candidates for this specialism will be given access to the CELT Athens DELTA wiki where they will be able to find some related reading (books and articles) but they should also be prepared to purchase some books themselves, especially if they do not have access to the CELT Athens library.
